Opera

Until the War is Over (in progress) one-act opera with librettist Jennifer Moxley, based on H.D.’s autobiographical novel Bid Me to Live. For 4 singers, flute, saxophone, double  bass and piano.

 Deeds (2002) one hour chamber opera, 5-characters. Act 1 of piano version premiered December 2002, UMaine Opera Workshop. Act 2 premiered at UMaine, May 2003. Recording session by Intermezzo Chamber Opera in 2006. Semifinalist in the Opera Vista Chamber Opera Competition, June 2007.

Music with electronic and/or video accompaniment

An Anxious Awareness of Danger (2017) for clarinet, vocoder and prerecorded sound. Using quotation and recorded sample from Gabriel Kahane’s song “Empire Liquor Mart (9127 S. Figueroa St.” Permission granted by the composer/performner. For premiere in Fall 2017.

Railways Précis (2017) for small orchestra and video. An adaptation of the longer piece     Railways, for the UMaine Orchestra. Premiered April 23, 2017.

Jet-Pack for One (2016) arrangement of previous work for bass clarinet, vocoder and pre- recorded electronic sound. Performed by the composer at UMaine in Oct. 2016, also     performed at the Andrea Clearfield Salon in Philadelphia, and selected for the NYCEMF   conference in June 2017 in New York.
